That Which You Worship Is Lies

The idea for this popped into my head one weekend and splattered onto the canvas without any apparent intervention from me. I had a vision of a mutated preacher at a pulpit, although the pose ended up looking more like the Lincoln Memorial.

I used Photoshop 7, switching between the splatter, chalk and normal round brushes (the latter for details, the former for broad strokes).

There’s a little H. P. Lovecraft influence in the tentacled mutant headgear.
